Selling my 1999.5 (body styling was changed half way through the '99 production year) Nissan Pathfinder LE. This is the highest range model, so its equipped with all the power options including a sunroof, leather interior, a bangin' Bose stereo system , heated seats, etc. This is an awesome midsized 5 passenger SUV that has been treated with kid gloves.

Under the hood there's a 3.3 SOHC V6 engine producing 170 horsepower and 200 ft-lbs of torque. This engine features Sophisticated Optimized Fuel Injection System (SOFIS), which optimizes the air to fuel mixture by sensing and correcting fuel delays inside the intake ports, resulting in lower emissions, increased fuel economy, and higher engine output. More than 90 percent of the engine's torque is available in the 1,500 to 1,800 rpm range, ideally suited for around-town, freeway passing and off-road excursions.

Power is electronically controlled by a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. It's a Four-wheel drive Pathfinder that features a shift-on-the-fly transfer case, which can be engaged at speeds up to 50 miles per hour; great for our Vancouver weather (especially winter roads).

The 1999.5 Pathfinder has a 5-link rear suspension design with coil springs and stabilizer bar. A revised rear shock absorber layout gives better ride and handling control. The front suspension features independent struts with coil springs. This combination, along with the mono frame construction, provides a smooth, comfortable on-road ride while also offering outstanding off-road capabilities.

Along with large tires and large brake rotors, my Pathy has an 4-wheel Anti-lock Breaking System (ABS), with Nissan's unique G-sensor system which 'reads' the driving surface and adjusts breaking control accordingly; I can vouch for how well this system actually works! Standard power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering ensures manoeuvrability and a tight turning radius.

Do your research (like I did)! In my opinion this vehicle outperforms newer competition because it's just old enough that it maintains its rugged and sturdy 4x4 roots; but, has all the new technology that enables it to be a very sophisticated road going extremely safe people mover.

To the sceptics: Don't be put off by the 4x4 tag, this truck was never taken on anything harsher than a hard pack dirt road, and has never towed anything.
